For being a band for less than a year, Break the Cycle has crushed it the past few months. The Chicago crossover is made up of Nick on vocals, Orlando on drums, Ace on bass, Ryan on guitar and Daegan on drums. The five piece played their first ever show opening for hardcore band Pain of Truth in New York. You can view their full set here. This band is the definition of go hard or don’t go at all. With their killer riffs and heavy drums there is no way to stay still during their set. BTC recently released a self- titled EP consisting of 5 songs. Two of the five tracks have features from Deserey Motyka, Luke Grey and Shane Merril from The Killer. My personal favorite has to be “Unleashed” because I’m a sucker for some two stepping parts. There’s a stacked line up for their EP release show happening April 16th at Chitown Futbol. Along with a couple other shows opening for bands like Madball and The Killer.
